#GivingTuesdayNow: Help Us Cover the Forgotten Front Line

It's a big day today. Cinco De Mayo this year falls on Taco Tuesday as well as #GivingTuesdayNow!
WE HAVE EXCITING NEWS!
Two of our Mask-ER-Aid partners have an amazing opportunity to earn extra funds from The GoFundMe Charity today. Today only, both ARM and ProvidePPE are eligible for up to $20,000 in additional funds as part of #GivingTuesdayNow.
The ten COVID19 related GoFundMe Charity campaigns that raise the most money on #GivingTuesdayNow (May 5th between 12 am - 11:59 pm Eastern Time) will be awarded grants from The GoFundMe Charity. These grants will vary in amount between $1,000 - $20,000. Any donation, of $10 or more, made on May 5th to ProvidePPE's GoFundMe Charity Page, or to the ARM GoFundMe Charity Page counts towards our total.
A LITTLE MORE ABOUT OUR PARTNERSHIPS: Uprising and ARM have been working together to keep the Chicago theater community employed. Uprising is supporting ARM with operational logistics, fundraising, publicity, and creating connections with local Chicago theater talent. Uprising staff will soon be appearing in informational videos for ARM. Keffiyeh cloth PPE masks are coming soon as well!
ProvidePPE and PPEforHCP are both fiscally sponsored by Uprising Theater. In addition to helping both groups improve their fundraising abilities by collecting tax-deductible donations, Uprising is helping these organizations connect with boots on the ground in different cities. PPEforHCP and ProvidePPE primarily provide free disposable surgical masks. Uprising is helping both organizations by attending regular check-in meetings, assisting with fundraising, and spreading the word about this resource. Uprising is dedicated to helping get PPE to get to the most vulnerable, marginalized, and underserved communities hardest hit by COVID19.
We are proud to be partnered with each of our three Mask-ER-Aid partners. All three of these initiatives are founded and/or led by women, two of whom are Asian American. At a time when we are seeing a sharp increase in racism towards the Asian American community, these amazing women have taken the initiative to protect our communities and counter devastating and pervasive anti-Asian American rhetoric.
