Your donations enable us to continue producing programs, uplift marginalized voices and meet new needs as a growing cultural hub. We’re thrilled to share this year’s big project: creating a permanent home for Uprising Theater.

We want to ensure that both the Palestinian community and others who are marginalized don’t face censorship for voicing their powerful stories. This year we’re building a permanent home on Milwaukee Avenue to bolster these voices — a neighborhood arts venue to amplify, celebrate, and share our community with Chicago’s wider arts community.

Are donations tax deductible?

Yes, Uprising Theater is a tax-exempt non-profit organization. All donations are tax-deductible in the United States.

How Will Your Donation Be Used?

Donations will cover daily operating costs and the artist's pay and production costs for individual projects and project series. Iymen and Maren currently do not take a salary to run the company. Those interested in sponsoring and underwriting a specific project or element of our work are encouraged to email us directly.

How Can I Get Involved?

E-mail us and introduce yourself. We are growing our board of directors and community volunteer pool. We are interested in meeting new artists and organizations to work with.
