Palestine Teach-In

  • Links Hall 3111 North Western Avenue Chicago, IL, 60618 United States (map)

This program involves a lecture and Q&A by Professor Iymen Chehade, followed by an optional movement workshop to explore and process the content from the teach-in via movement and performance.

With skewed media coverage and misinformation about the war on the people of Palestine, now more than ever it is important to discuss the origins of the crisis, where it is going, and how to end it so that peace, dignity, and justice can be achieved for all.

Workshop Schedule:

3:00 pm - 4:30 pm: Lecture and Q&A led by Iymen Chehade

4:30 pm - 4:40 pm: Break (opportunity for folks not attending the movement workshop to leave)

4:40 pm - 6:00 pm: Movement workshop led by Maren Rosenberg

“The movement workshop will take what we learn from the lecture to see how we can translate the history and stories into movement and/or performance. This will help in building an embodied practice for the liberation of all oppressed peoples.”

During the event, there will be an opportunity to donate directly to support the people of Gaza.
